Maintenance of brass chandelier for long lasting brilliance

Brass chandelier is a type of chandelier which is both worth looking and long lasting. As brass is not an expensive metal, most of the people prefer to buy brass chandeliers. If you are planning to buy a brass chandelier to beautify your dinning or living room, than don forget to maintain it regularly to ensure its long life. Now, how can we increase their life by maintain them is the real concern. Here are few things which needs to be take care while maintain a brass chandelier. Dust is one of the most important factors which destroy electronic instruments. It also spoils the appearance of room. By removing dust from the outer surface of your brass chandeliers on daily basis can really protect your chandeliers from malfunctioning. Removing dust on daily basis reduces the requirement of intense cleaning sessions too. For dusting, always use dry linen, metal cleaning or microfiber cloths. If you own a brass chandelier which Is very old and hasn’t been cleaned since a long time, than merely dusting with a linen cloth will be of no use. Now, you require vigorous cleaning. Vigorous cleaning requires dish soap with warm water. Thoroughly dry your chandelier after cleaning and you can also polish it again with brass to recover its shine. Air is another factor which distorts the color of brass chandeliers and makes it spotted. So, to protect your brass chandelier for long lasting brilliance you are required to keep it away from the exposure of open air. If your brass chandelier is showing some tarnishing or discoloring, heat a bowl of vinegar, damp a soft cloth in it and than apply I gently on the stain until it is removed. After removing tarnish, apply a thin layer of brass lacquer on your chandelier. Then le it dry and after some time do one more brass lacquer coating.  It will make the surface even and you will regain the original color of your chandelier. Always avoid one thing while cleaning brass chandelier, never use ammonium based cleaner on brass as it will affect it adversely instead of removing the stain.
